Privacy Policy

ConvertFin (“ConvertFin”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a browser-based tool that converts PDF bank statements into spreadsheet formats such as Excel, CSV, and OFX. It is operated by Jincove LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we do and do not collect when you use ConvertFin, and the choices you have. You can reach us any time at gan@jincove.com.

The core of ConvertFin runs entirely in your browser. When you drop in a PDF:

• The file is opened and parsed on your own device. It is not sent to our servers.
• The extracted transactions — dates, descriptions, amounts, and balances — are held only in your browser’s memory long enough to build the preview and the file you download.
• When you close or refresh the tab, that data is gone. We keep no copy of your statement, your transactions, or the converted output.

In short: ConvertFin processes almost none of your financial data, because the sensitive part of the work happens where your data already lives — on your device.

While your statements stay on your device, running the service and the surrounding website does involve a small amount of data:

• Account information. If you create an account or upgrade to a paid plan, we store your email address and basic authentication details so you can sign in and manage your subscription.
• Billing information. Paid plans are handled by our payment provider (see below). We receive confirmation of your subscription status and a limited billing record — not your full card number.
• Messages you send us. If you use the contact form or email us, we receive the name, email address, and message you provide so we can reply.
• Basic technical and usage data. Like most websites, our hosting and infrastructure providers process standard technical information (such as IP address and browser type) and we may keep aggregate, non-identifying usage counts (for example, how many conversions were run) to operate free-tier limits and improve the product.

We use the limited information above to:

• Provide, maintain, and secure the service.
• Create and manage accounts and process subscriptions and payments.
• Enforce fair-use and free-tier conversion limits.
• Respond to your questions and support requests.
• Detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, and technical problems.
• Comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your bank statements to build advertising or marketing profiles — we never receive them in the first place.

We rely on a small number of processors to run the website and billing. These providers act on our behalf and only receive the information they need for their function:

• Payments. Paid subscriptions are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our Merchant of Record and handles checkout, card processing, and applicable sales tax. Your payment details are provided directly to them.
• Hosting & infrastructure. The website, accounts, and authentication run on standard cloud hosting and database services.
• Email. When you contact us, your message is delivered to our support inbox through an email delivery provider.

None of these providers receive the contents of your bank statements.

We use only the cookies needed to make the site work — for example, to keep you signed in. For details, see our Cookie Policy.

Because your statements are never uploaded, there is nothing for us to retain from a conversion. For the limited data we do hold, we keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, then delete or anonymize it. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, and the local-only design of the converter means your most sensitive data is not exposed to us at all. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at gan@jincove.com. We will respond in line with applicable law.

ConvertFin is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
